This Thursday, we dig through the sacred annals of sacred comic book history to unearth a truly rare gem from the legendary Jim Lee!
Advance Comics was a catalog that compiled upcoming releases related to comic books and other pop culture collectibles, published by Capital City Distribution beginning in 1989. Each issue had unique cover art, and while digging through our team’s considerable comic collection, we came across a rarely seen piece of both X-Men and Jim Lee history, Jim’s cover art for Advance Comics #32. Featuring the core X-Men team from Jim’s impending, iconic 1991 run on X-Men, this cover radiates cool, with Gambit, Wolverine, Rogue, Psylocke, Beast, and Cyclops drawn in all of their early ‘90s glory, finished off with some restrained, yet excellent coloring, and we’ve lovingly recrafted the art as a Marvel-ous screen print!
