Mark Arts in Wichita, Kansas announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, January 5 – March 25, 2024. $3000 in cash awards will be awarded. Juror: Pamela Caughey. Open to all artists living and working in North America, both amateur and professional. Work must be ready to exhibit, created in the past two years, and not previously exhibited in the Wichita, Kansas metro area. Each entry must be wholly designed and executed by the artist. All artworks must be display ready with installation hardware included. When appropriate, work should be framed and preferably glazed with Plexiglas. Each artist may enter up to four pieces. Inspire wonder for the natural world with a spark of light! Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI illuminates 16-acres of lush gardens and a glass conservatory brimming with tropical plants for GLEAM, an annual public art exhibition featuring large-scale light installations. We’re calling all light art luminaries to submit an installation concept that will enhance the natural landscape of our native-focused botanical garden. $6,000-$20,000 per installation. Special consideration will be given to proposals presenting interactive experiences, site specific engagement, botanically inspired or entomology focused concepts, large-scale murals involving UV or projection mapping, AR features, and community collaborations.
