Drawn: 12th Annual Call for Works of Contemporary Drawing

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit original works which qualify in some considerable way as drawing for an upcoming exhibition, April 18 – May 16, 2025. Other disciplines such as printmaking and painting, and many others, may include works which qualify. Honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view. Open Call for Solo Exhibitions

ARC Gallery in Chicago, IL announces an open call for a solo exhibition, March 6-29, 2025. This call is open to non-members, and non-affiliates with the purpose of bringing in innovative new work. All work submitted should have been completed within the last 5 years. ARC will favor artists who have a strong, cohesive body of work, a clearly communicated vision of their show, and a comprehensible and thoughtful artist statement. Artists whose work is deemed excellent, but is not selected, will be added to a roster from which ARC can draw for future opportunities and curated exhibitions. $25 entry fee. 29th Annual Heartland Artist Exhibition


Merriam Parks & Recreation seeks entries from artists 18 and over for a juried art exhibition, March 1-29, 2025 in the
Tim Murphy Art Gallery at the Merriam Community Center in Merriam, Kansas. 1st Place – $1,500; 2nd Place – $1,000; 3rd Place – $500; three $100 Awards of Merit. Juror: Chris Gipson. Original works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, pencil, photography or a mixture of any of the above media are acceptable. Works previously exhibited in the Heartland Artist Exhibition are not eligible. Works must be matted, framed and wired for hanging; no clip frames. Original works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastels, pencils, charcoal, pen and ink, scratchboard, printmaking, mixed media, or a mixture of any of the above media are acceptable. 21st Juried Regional Exhibition

Freeport Art Museum in Freeport, IL announces a call to artists for their annual Regional Juried Exhibition (RJE), May 10 – July 19, 2025. As FAM has gained a distinguished reputation for displaying a wide range of contemporary art, this exhibition has become a visitor’s favorite. Each year, FAM invites a new juror to select approximately 50 artworks for inclusion, and to give awards: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, $100 for third place and honorable mention. Juror for 2025: Rodrick Whetstone. This annual competition is open to artists living in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, offering established and emerging artists the opportunity to debut work created in the last two years. $45 to submit up to 4 images ($35 for museum members).
