Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, IL seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, April 12 – May 10, 2025. Juror: Donna R. Charging. Open to women and nonbinary artists from around the world. This exhibit seeks to illuminate the provisional, the transitional, and the liminal. We are particularly interested in works that engage with the intersection of environmental, social, and historical narratives tied to land. Artworks must be no larger than 6′ horizontally and under 75 pounds in weight, unless delivered and picked up by the artist. Freeport Art Museum in Freeport, IL announces a call to artists for their annual Regional Juried Exhibition (RJE), May 10 – July 19, 2025. As FAM has gained a distinguished reputation for displaying a wide range of contemporary art, this exhibition has become a visitor’s favorite. Each year, FAM invites a new juror to select approximately 50 artworks for inclusion, and to give awards: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, $100 for third place and honorable mention. Juror for 2025: Rodrick Whetstone. Whitefish Bay, located on Wisconsin’s Door Peninsula, has long been a creative haven for artists. Inspired by the history of the Dome House and the vibrant artistic community in Door County, this residency (August 4 – September 28, 2025) aims to give one artist the opportunity to create work in a unique environment providing inspiration and solitude. Open to artists working in fine art mediums and residing in the Midwest states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, or South Dakota. The program, created and led in partnership with the Miller Art Museum, also provides opportunities for public access to an artist at work through supplemental programming and educational content for the community. $500 stipend.
