Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, MD invites emerging and established artists to submit original artworks to ‘Warm and Cozy: art that comforts.’ The exhibit will feature artwork that captures the sensation of feeling warm, and the physical and emotional responses we have to being warm. One of our most basic human needs, warmth can signify comfort, security, intimacy, and community connection. Depictions of sun-drenched landscapes and intimate cozy interiors, heartfelt portraits and loving embraces, plush soft sculpture and tactile works, warm wearable art, multi-sensory installations, or nostalgic subjects and family traditions are all welcome. The Arts and Cultural Heritage Division (ACHD) of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George’s Department of Parks and Recreation invites individual artists and artist teams to submit applications for exterior sculptural artwork to be installed on a temporary basis (October 2023-October 2025) at the Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland. The Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, DC seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, November 18, 2023 through January 9, 2024 at The Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD. Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) invites all artists residing in any of the states or territories of the US, Canada, or Mexico to enter our 21st annual Small Wonders exhibition, Nov 29 – Dec 23, 2023 at the MFA’s Circle Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland. $1,000 in awards. Juror: Lillian Bayley Hoover, Professor at Towson University. This exhibition is for artists who dream big but work small. Work is limited to under 11 inches in all directions, but there’s no limit on creativity or media.
