For 20 years, Nude Nite has redefined the traditional gallery experience, transforming ordinary spaces into a pop-up interactive art exhibition spanning over a weekend, February 13-15, 2025 in Orlando, Florida. Nude Nite is more than an art show – Our mission is to create a space where people feel confident and proud of their bodies, free from judgment, and inspired to embrace their individuality. Nude Nite is a celebration of artistic expression, human vulnerability, and the beauty of the nude form. Nude Nite stands at the crossroads of art and experience, displaying 200+ figurative works of art from around the country, immersive installations, music, and entertainment, such as stage shows, performance artists, and body painters. $40 fee. You are invited to apply to McGuffey Art Center’s Mid-Atlantic Juried Show, to be held April 4-27, 2025. Juror: Jeffrey W. Allison. McGuffey Art Center is located in downtown Charlottesville, VA, in a historic elementary school building, and is one of the oldest artist-run cooperative art centers in the country. The competition is open for the following categories: painting, drawing, photography/printmaking, fiber, sculpture and mixed media. 2D Entries should not exceed 6 feet in any direction. No entry that requires the artist to be present for moving or assembly will be accepted. Any artist residing in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, or North Carolina may enter. Historic Cane Hill in Canehill, AR will host an exhibition for the Arkansas Quail and Turkey Stamp Art Competition, March 15 – April 19, 2025. 1st Place: $2,500 each (for quail and turkey); 2nd: $500 each; 3rd: $250 each. Open to all U.S. residents 18 or older. Artwork must be an original hand-created horizontal design done on paper, canvas, or panel, and must measure exactly 18″ wide by 13″ tall (no exceptions). Artwork must be suitable for printing at a reduced size, providing the design for a 1.75″ x 1.5″ finished stamp. Entries must include a live portrayal of the northern bobwhite quail (Colinus virginianus) or the eastern wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) within its correct Arkansas natural habitat. The City of Roanoke, through the Roanoke Arts Commission, is accepting submissions for freestanding sculpture responding to the theme “Larger than Life.” The installation calls for oversized reimaginings of everyday objects and will be on display, May 16, 2025 through April 20, 2027 at Raonoke Virginia’s Elmwood Park. $4,500 per sculpture. Open to all artists 18 and older or supervised student groups under an applicant instructor or institutional program. Regional artists and teams with connections to Roanoke are strongly encouraged to apply, as are women and artists of color. Works must be: of a scale and material suitable for outdoor display; designed to withstand an outdoor, high traffic, unmonitored environment; require little or no maintenance; original; suitable for family viewing; and constructed so that they can be securely anchored.
