While we’re busy putting the finishing touches on our Brad Hill Retrospective Show at the gallery this Friday, we’ve got an online release from AJ Masthay to close out the week!
AJ’s newest personal piece, Love Takes Work, is a lovely mediation on what we’re willing to go through for the wonderful dogs in our lives. Per AJ, “This one goes to all the puppy parents out there. Sleep deprived and getting torn to shreds but loving every minute of it (ok maybe not every minute). We’ll do anything for our four legged children, including frequent trips to the bougie apothecary pet store for all the treats.
Duck heads, bull penises, turkey feet, cow esophaguses and something called Green JuJu. As a self proclaimed aficionado of dead things, I’m totally here for all of it. Let’s not forget the toys, so very many toys, all needing to be shred and destroyed post haste.
Such is the life of a small puppy in suburbia. Could definitely be worse, we don’t deserve them .”
AJ’s print will be available on Friday (5/9) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
