We’re revisiting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle history and adding our own twist!
Almost 40 years ago, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hit comic shops and introduced us all to our favorite fighting mutant turtle brothers and their unique world. With Kevin Eastman’s striking black and white art, and a captivating 40-page story, the first issue remains a milestone moment in comics culture.
To commemorate the first issue’s legacy, we teamed up with ISH and the fine folks at IDW to create a limited edition reprint of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 comic with a stunning lenticular version of Kevin Eastman’s iconic art.
We’re also excited to offer the option to upgrade any TMNT #1 issue to a CGC Graded 9.8 copy. CGC graded copies provide a way to enjoy the comic’s lenticular cover art while also keeping the comic in pristine condition. If any CGC graded copy of the comic gets a grade above 9.8, we’ll upgrade random orders for free!
The CGC grading process is very thorough, so if you order a CGC Graded 9.8 copy of the comic, it will take a few weeks longer to arrive than standard issues.
The comic is limited to 2000 printed units in total. We’ve split this allocation between graded and ungraded copies.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 will be available on Thursday (10/26) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
