We’re kicking things off this week with some comic book goodness from Hernan Carracedo, Lee Bermejo, and Marvel’s animated division!
The Last Ronin is one of the most inventive twists on the TMNT we’ve seen, using a classic future-jump comic storyline to tell a darker story about what happens when there is only one Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle left alive, and Shredder’s bloodline rules NYC with an iron fist. Hernan’s print shows a stoic Mikey standing tall in an oppressive future that he has to fight, with the memories of his fallen brothers remaining ever-present.
Lee Bermejo’s gritty and hyper-realistic superhero art is critically acclaimed and renowned for good reason, and we’re excited to offer his take on Spidey for Amazing Spider-Man #1 as a print. Lee’s interpretations of classic superheroes and villains is always fascinating, and we love poring over the many folds, creases, and thoughtfully crafted details in this cover art.
Marvel Zombies was originally a mini-series depicting a universe where Marvel heroes and villains succumb to a zombie virus ripping through the population. Two decades, and multiple spin-offs, later Marvel Animation have re-animated the series with stellar animation, and a wonderfully dark story inspired by Romero and so many other genre staples. We’re teaming up with Marvel to release a very limited edition print featuring some of our favorite key art from the show. We’ve also created a lenticular edition to really bring Zombie Cap and Hawkeye to life in front of your eyes!
