Elizabeth Olsen and Molly Gordon are getting ready to work together, with a new report suggesting the pair have signed on to a new A24 movie.
According to a report from Nexus Point News, Olsen and Gordon will star in the upcoming film Peaked. Alongside starring in the movie, Gordon will also direct the movie, which comes from a script co-written by both her and Allie Levitan. Gordon will also produce the film, which is set to be her second directorial feature following 2023’s Theater Camp, which she co-directed with Nick Lieberman.
The report notes the film will follow two women in their late-twenties, Bobby (Gordon) and Millie (Olsen), “who were once the most popular girls in their high school, but have now amounted to nothing. When they don’t receive an invite to their 10 year high school reunion, they plan to crash the reunion.”
Elizabeth Olsen is best known for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Recently, she appeared in the 2024 sci-fi thriller, The Assessment, and will also star in A24’s upcoming film Eternity. Gordon is best known for her role in the 2019 comedy Booksmart, 2020’s Shiva Baby, and her recurring role on FX’s The Bear.
The report also mentions that the film will begin production in January in New Jersey. No information on the film’s release date nor any additional casting information has been made available as of yet.
