October 4, 2024 - Movies

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Road to Everywhere trailer, previewing the upcoming film described as a coming-of-age movie for grown-ups.

What happens in the Road to Everywhere trailer?

The trailer shows off what to expect in the upcoming film, which acts as a sort of spiritual successor to the 1998 drama film Driven. In Road to Everywhere, Whip Hubley and Daniel Roebuck reprise their roles as Jason Schuyler and Dale Schneider in the film, which takes place decades after Driven. The film follows Schuyler, a cab driver, as he’s offered the fare of a lifetime.

Road to Everywhere is directed by Michael Shoob, from a script co-written by Shoob and Joseph Mealey. Alongside Hubley and Roebuck, the film also stars Robert Mirabal, DezBaa’, Rawle D. Lewis, Googy Gress, Diane DiLascio, Nicola Bertram, Coby Larinde, Payton Morelli, Daniel Sollinger, Michael Olavson, Robert Mirabal, and Steven E. Kimbrough, among others.

Road to Everywhere is set to begin its film festival circuit soon, with no official release information available as of now.

“Decades after the events in the critically acclaimed Driven, Los Angeles cab driver Jason Schuyler is offered the fare of a lifetime by Jake, a local casino dealer and gambler. Jake asks Schuyler to drive him to the Navajo Nation in Arizona, to the home he abandoned 30 years ago. Jake’s dream is to see his grandson compete in a Native American rodeo. Shoob concludes, “As the actors (and their characters) literally age before our eyes, this narrative film becomes a kind of documentary of life – about the passage of time and dreams. In the end, [Road to Everywhere] asks the ultimate question: ’What do we want out of our lives? What really matters?’”
