Rogue and Gambit get highlighted in Marvel Rivals Season 5 trailer

On November 11, the official social media account of Marvel Rivals released the official trailer for the forthcoming Season 5. Aside from confirming the title of the update, the post also announced that the fifth season will come out at midnight UTC on November 14, 2025.

The trailer shared on X (former Twitter) primarily focuses on Gambit’s romance with Rogue, in an effort to celebrate the former’s upcoming debut in the game.

“Before the Timestream Entanglement tore their world apart, Gambit and Rogue were ready to say “I do” on Krakoa. But destiny intervened. Now, Gambit sets out on a daring cosmic heist to steal the universe’s rarest ring – and win back the moment time itself stole from them,” the Marvel Rivals post explains.

In addition to Gambit and Rogue, the Marvel Rivals Season 5 trailer also features a horde of other fan-favorite comic book couples, as well as some outliers. This includes Loki and Mantis, Storm and Black Panther, as well as Scarlet Witch and Venom.

Additionally, the 90-second clip provides a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo from Cyclops, who many expect will make his Rivals debut in Season 6.

Aside from adding Gambit to the character roster, Marvel Rivals Season 5 will also introduce fans to a New York Times Square map, which will be able to support up to 100 players in a non-combat environment.

Moreover, the fifth season will add a new 18v18 Conquest mode to the game, titled Annihilation. However, the said game mode will only go live on November 27.
