The Road House sequel recently hit a massive roadblock, but it appears Amazon has quickly found a solution to their problems. Guy Ritchie, originally slated to helm Road House 2, is no longer attached to the project. A few weeks after his departure, the studio has recruited a familiar filmmaker to handle directing duties on the action flick.
Deadline reports that Ilya Naishuller (Nobody) is in talks to direct Road House 2, the sequel to the 2023 remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Amazon MGM Studios is looking to bring back the Heads of State director into the fold for the highly-anticipated follow-up, which will see Gyllenhaal return in the lead role.
More to come.
