Love Is Blind season 9 star Megan Walerius, a.k.a. “Sparkle Megan,” didn’t find lasting love with pod fiancé Jordan Keltner, but has she already moved on?
This post has spoilers for the season 9 finale of Love Is Blind.
Megan, 35, was spotted outside her Denver, Colorado, home with a mystery man on Saturday, October 18, in photos obtained by The Sun. The wellness entrepreneur wore a tie-dye sweatshirt with black leggings and a matching baseball cap as she exited a dark SUV. The unidentified man, for his part, sported a casual navy T-shirt with grey sweatpants as he held a newborn dressed in a blue onesie and swaddled in a fleece blanket.
It has not been publicly revealed how Megan knows the mystery man or whether she has a connection to the infant. (Us Weekly has reached out for comment.)
Megan was engaged to Jordan, 30, during season 9 of Love Is Blind, however, she called off their wedding just days before walking down the aisle.
“I still have reservations, and that’s not how I should be feeling going into my wedding [and] our wedding,” she told Jordan in the Wednesday, October 22, finale, claiming that their lifestyles were too different. “I’m sorry for not feeling more compassion for you and understanding and giving you what you needed in a fiancée. I just can’t do this.”
Megan also told Jordan that she was so grateful to meet his 5-year-old son, Luca, from a previous relationship.
“In the pods, I was really leaning into him being a single father [and] the excitement of it,” Megan explained in a confessional. “I don’t think I thought through how challenging it is and how I would need to make a lot of concessions to how I currently live.”
The Netflix star, who made waves for her lavish lifestyle and passions for travel and foodie adventures, even pondered whether she was meant to be a parent at all.
“I mean, maybe I’m just not cut out to be a stepmom,” Megan tearfully said. “Honestly, this has me questioning if I’m even cut out to be a mom. I don’t know, maybe I am too caught up in my own life. All I wanted coming into this experiment was to find love and to find my partner. I will love Jordan always — but he’s not my partner.”
Jordan, however, claimed in a confessional that he regretted allowing Luca to meet his now-ex. He ultimately appeared to backtrack on his comments, gushing about how Luca and Megan had bonded on franchise alum AD Smith’s “What’s the Reality?” podcast.
“It just came so organically and natural,” Jordan recalled of introducing his son to Megan during a podcast episode earlier this month. “They were just two peas in a pod. It was just, like, ‘I’m making the right choice here [and] I picked the right person.’”
Fans might get answers about Megan’s mystery man and the photographed baby during the show’s official reunion later in October.
“Don’t ghost us when the season 9 pod squad returns to answer the fans burning questions,” a Netflix description reads, referring to fellow contestant Anna Yuan leaving Patrick Suzuki hanging in the pods. “Get ready for your jaw to hit the floor when Love is Blind: The Reunion premieres.”
Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix, and the season 9 cast reunion airs Wednesday, October 29 at 9 p.m. ET.
