Teyana Taylor solved the mystery of Leonardo DiCaprio’s viral 2026 Golden Globes video.
Taylor, 35, confirmed while walking The Rip premiere red carpet in New York City on Tuesday, January 13, that she was the one DiCaprio, 51, was talking to about K-pop across the table.
“What do you think of the viral K-pop Leo video?” one reporter asked as Taylor shuffled down the red carpet in a rather daring black outfit. Taylor was quick to respond — and reveal what the internet was dying to know.
“Oh, my God. He was talking to me,” she said. “That’s what makes it even funnier.”
DiCaprio went viral on Sunday, January 11, after he looked rather animated during a commercial break during the Golden Globes, per a video shared via social media.
“I was watching you with the K-pop thing,” DiCaprio appeared to be saying in the clip, talking to Taylor while pointing and laughing. “You were like, ‘Is that? K-pop?’”
He clapped and laughed at Taylor. However, her reaction was not captured on video.
DiCaprio and Taylor starred in last year’s critically acclaimed film One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, which has been collecting several awards so far this year.
Taylor, for one, took home the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture on Sunday.
“My gratitude is endless. I love you, we love you, and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast,” the actress said while taking the stage, giving a shout-out to “every single person who has touched this project.”
Us Weekly brought up Taylor’s mention of gratitude while chatting with her exclusively at The Rip red carpet on Tuesday.
“I think it’s so important because, I think, through everything and through blessings, these are things that we pray for,” Taylor explained, when asked why it’s so important that she puts gratitude first. “When you get that, you should always be grateful and filled with gratitude. That’s what it feels like for me.”
Taylor further discussed her career in an interview with Vanity Fair, which was published on Tuesday, explaining how she went from singer to Kanye West music video star to full-blown actress.
“Oh, my God, it’s been like, busy, busy, busy,” she said. “But in the best way, of course. I think going from being able to work with Sean Penn, Leonardo DiCaprio to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, I’m like, this is a lot.”
Taylor continued, “To see people handling me with so much care and love, it’s been like I’ve been moving from master class to master class. … It’s like, I am able to be the best version of myself because I’m surrounded by the best of the best?”
Even though she’s already a Golden Globe winner, Taylor admitted that she doesn’t want to talk about what other accolades One Battle After Another could win.
“It’s so crazy, because I don’t like to jinx it,” she shared. “I get so shy when everybody starts talking about award season and stuff.”
Despite the praise she’s received from famous friends, family and the public, Taylor is trying not to focus on any outside noise.
“I try not to get my head too wrapped around me,” she explained. “Trying to stay grounded and not getting to a place where I’m obsessed with the outcome.”
