Flavor of Love’s Most Memorable Contestants: Where Are They Now?

Not a fan of The Bachelor? What about VH1’s version? In January 2006, Flavor of Love debuted on VH1, in which women competed for the heart of Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav.

The show was created shortly after Brigitte Nielsen and the rapper split and their reality show, Strange Love, came to an end. Flavor Flav (real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr.) aired for three seasons and resulted in many failed relationships. While each season had a winner — Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander in season 1; Chandra “Deelishis” Davis” in season 2; and Tresha “Thing Two” in season 3 — he chose not to continue dating any of the women after each season’s end. During the first two seasons, Tiffany “New York” Pollard came in second place.

During the season 3 reunion show, Flav called off the relationship with Tresha and revealed he wanted to marry Liz Trujillo, the mother of his seventh child, Karma.

The show was such a success that it launched many spinoffs for the network — thanks to the incredible personalities of the women. I Love New York, which featured Pollard looking for love, aired for two seasons. Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School followed 13 previous contestants as they tried to develop etiquette skills. I Love Money was a third spinoff, which included contestants from multiple VH1 shows competing in challenges to win money.

One of the most famous contestants was Pollard, who stole viewers’ hearts with her no-filter attitude and hilarious commentary.

“It’s not always easy to be this real. You guys have seen some of the most vulnerable times in my life. Being spit on, on national television,” she told Paper magazine in 2020. “That was a lot of rage and a lot of just emotions. You guys have seen me at my best and my worst. So I need to just be able to be real like you’re saying, you know, I always think it’s important to stay true to that.”

Tiffany “New York” Pollard

After appearing on the first two seasons of Flavor of Love in 2006, Pollard earned her own spinoff, I Love New York — and it was the first of many. She later starred in New York Goes to Hollywood, New York Goes to Work and Brunch With Tiffany. Through the years, she made appearances on Nip/Tuck, Baggage and Sharknado 5.

Pollard got engaged to Patrick “Tango” Hunter before calling it off six months later. She was also engaged to George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber. 

In November 2020, Pollard announced her engagment to Jimmy Stewart.

Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander

Two years after Flavor of Love, Alexander competed on I Love Money and took home the $250,000 grand prize. She had a brief relationship with Shaquille O’Neal and starred in 2010’s Ghetto Stories and 2015’s It Takes a Sister. Additionally, she has her own fitness line, Hoopz Fit, and manages her own boutique, Heaven on Earth.

Larissa “Bootz” Aurora

After starring in season 2 of Flavor of Love, Aurora also appeared on Charm School. She now works as a cosmetologist and has two children.

Leilene “Smiley” Ondrade

Ondrade has continued her modeling career and is a single mother. She stays private about her personal life but did share in 2016 that she’s been divorced three times.

London “Deelishis” Charles 

Shortly after winning Flavor of Love season 2, Charles and Flav split. She went on to appear on I Love Money and Love & Hop Hop: Atlanta. She has starred in many music videos and debuted her own music in 2007. She has reportedly dated Wiz Khalifa and Stevie J in the past and has two daughters.

Schatar “Hottie” Sapphira

After Flavor of Love, Sapphira starred on Charm School and later hosted her own cooking show, Poultry Princess: Cooking With Schatar. She is now a producer, actress and author, penning an erotic novel under the name Star Sugarman. The reality star cofounded a site called SuperLiveProducers.com. She is married to Maxie Dayrron Collier and is a stepmother to his son.
