Madison Chautauqua Festival of Arts

Artists nationwide are invited to apply for the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Arts, held September 28-29, 2024 along the Ohio River in Madison, Indiana. Awards: Best in Show, Best Presentation, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Fine Craft, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Fine Art, 2 Honorable Mentions. Eligible categories: painting (2D artists may sell prints but must include originals, as well), drawing, photography, sculpture, weaving, folk art, jewelry, fiber, wood, baskets, clay, glass, paper and leather. Individual consideration of a media not listed may be given upon request. All work must be handmade and individually designed by the artist. Multiples of the same general design must be signed. Our Places: Plein-Air Exhibition

Northville Art House in Northville, MI announces a call to artists for a plein air art exhibition, August 2-23, 2024. Awards: 1st – 4th, Honorable Mentions. Juror: Gisvi Pardo de Reyes, Gallery Manager, The Northville Gallery. The first 40 entered artists, 18 and older, are invited to paint their favorite outdoor places between May 21 – July 21 with up to three artworks, stamped on the reverse by the Art House, not to exceed 38 inches, and selected by the artist, to be included in the exhibition. Corpus: International Call Exploring the Photograph as Object

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit original photographic-based works that re-engage the body, acknowledge their place in the physical world, and explore the impacts of choice of surface, volume, texture, material, and presentation methods on the experience of the image itself – the spirit in the body of the art. This exhibit is supported by FotoFocus as a participating venue project of the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial. The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for a photography exhibition, August 2-30, 2024. Through a range of photographic interpretations of various topographical regions, Horizon will encompass various ways of describing and documenting the landscape. Art Takeover Project

Posterity Gallery seeks submissions for an art exhibition that connects local artists with businesses in Downtown Grosse Pointe, Michigan, September 5-30, 2024. Solo Exhibition, Artist Prizes, Spotlights, Interviews. Jurors: Katherine Huber (Art Director) & Cindy Wilcock (Main Street Director). Artists and businesses will be paired at the end of July and will have the month of August to create/ come up with a display. This is a juried, open theme, all-media call for art. Both 2D and 3D art pieces will be accepted. Art displays may be an individual piece/installation or a themed “Collection” (relatively, and in agreement with the business). Pieces may be for sale or NFS. Artists retain 100% of art sales, unless otherwise negotiated with their hosting business. Recollection

The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for an international juried photography exhibition, September 6-24, 2024. MWCP seeks photographs that elicit or display the binary of remembering and recording as a way to document recalled memories. Through the experience of the passage of time we look back and recollect, at times fondly with contentment and desire or otherwise despondent longing. In recollecting, nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding us of a happier time, a feeling of idealized pleasure and also slight pensiveness when we think about the way things used to be. Illiart 2024

Gallery Seven in Lockport, IL announces a call to artists for Illiart 2024, a juried exhibition for 2D and 3D artists who work and live in Illinois. The initial jurying process will be done by independent jurors, and the final voting will be handled by the members of Gallery Seven. There will be cash prizes for Best In Show, First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and three Honorable Mentions. National Watercolor Exhibition

Mark Arts in Wichita, Kansas announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 4 – December 21, 2024. $3000 in cash awards. Juror: Matthew Bird. The Bennett Prize 4.0 Call for Entries Now Open

Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt, founders of The Bennett Collection, are pleased to announce a call for entries for The Bennett Prize, a biennial award that seeks to propel the careers of women figurative realist painters who have not yet realized full professional recognition, empowering new artists and those who have painted for many years. We’re excited to share that we have an all women jury this year. 10 Finalists will participate in a traveling exhibition organized by the Muskegon Museum of Art.
