Pluribus, Apple TV’s new science fiction drama series, receives a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. The show was created by Vince Gilligan and stars Rhea Seehorn (Carol Sturka), Karolina Wydra (Zosia), Carlos Manuel Vesga (Manousos), and Miriam Shor (Helen).
Currently sitting at a 100% score (at the time of this article’s publication), Pluribus received glowing reviews on the popular website. Critics praised Gilligan’s vision, storytelling, and ability to leave his comfort zone. Many also commended Seehorn’s strong performance as well as the rest of the cast’s onscreen chemistry. Some reviewers have already deemed it the best show of the year.
The science fiction drama, like many of the showrunner’s series, is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and revolves around a mysterious virus that makes everyone affected by it perfectly happy with their lives and the world. Seehorn’s character, Carol, is seemingly the only person who is immune to the strange infectious disease and remains pessimistic. Pluribus’ logline reads, “The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.”
Pluribus isn’t Gilligan and Seehorn’s first project together. Prior to the Apple TV series, the pair worked together on the iconic Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul. The actress portrayed a lawyer named Kim Wexler who was also the love interest and colleague of the prequel show’s protagonist Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), better known as Saul Goodman in the legal drama’s flagship series.
Pluribus will be available to stream on Apple TV on November 7, 2025.
