Cyberpunk 2077 has many easter eggs and secrets that players can uncover, including a Secret Dev Room hidden behind a market. Other secrets, such as tarot graffiti tarot cards and references to Cyberpunk 2077‘s anime, Edgerunners, can be found in Night City if you explore. While many of these secrets can be uncovered quite easily, the Secret Dev Room is not meant to be found by players easily. However, if you are determined to locate this easter egg, there is a way.
To discover CD Projekt Red’s developer room easter egg in Cyberpunk 2077, you will need to travel to a market where the room is located. Thanks to Reddit user PixelBased_, there is a pinpoint location you can visit, as shown in the map below.
The above location is of Kabuki Market in the North sector of Night City. You will need to get to the market by either fast traveling to the nearest location or driving there manually if you haven’t unlocked a fast travel point in this Cyberpunk 2007 area. Once you reach the market, search for a shop called Prebab City, which has a staircase leading down.
Go down the stairs and keep walking until you reach a dead end. There will be a garage door next to a neon sign and a dumpster. You can unlock this garage door by using the Yellow keypad, but it cannot be opened using one of Cyberpunk 2077’s various hacks. You will need to know the exact code to open the door.
The code to open the door is 605185. This code was originally printed on the physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077‘s game box.
Once you are inside the secret developer room, you will find a familiar setup that includes a sofa and a TV. You can sit on the couch and activate the TV, which triggers another easter egg. As soon as you switch on the TV, Johnny Silverhand will start playing some ambient music by playing his guitar. The screen shows pictures of the developers involved in creating Cyberpunk 2077. Check out this video of V discovering the room and Johnny playing guitar courtesy of Game Guides on YouTube:
Other than being a nice Cyberpunk 2077 dev easter egg, the room serves little purpose. However, it is a fun discovery and gives players who care the opportunity to show the developers some love.
