Play Dirty on October 1

Adapted from Donald E. Westlake’s Parker book series, the film stars Mark Wahlberg as Parker and LaKeith Stanfield as Grofield. As lifelong criminals, they navigate their lives through dangerous challenges, including dealing with a South American dictator and the world’s richest man. Directed by Shane Black, the movie also features Keegan-Michael Key and Rosa Salazar.

It is a romantic comedy featuring Madelaine Petsch and Jacob Scipio in the lead roles. Charlie (Petsch) is a mechanic who owns an all-female shop. A corporate rival who sets up their shop nearby threatens her business. Struck by grief, she turns to her mysterious online friend, with whom she shares her problems. Furthermore, things escalate when that online friend turns out to be her rival business owner.

Our Fault on October 16

It is the concluding chapter of the Culpa movie trilogy based on Mercedes Ron’s novels. As a planned trilogy, the first movie, My Fault, was released in 2023, and the second one, Your Fault, in 2024. It is a Spanish romantic drama that reunites Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara) after their breakup. With both characters working towards their goal, it is to be seen if they get back together or not. Domingo González, the director of the first two movies, returns for the finale.

Hedda on October 29

It is an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play Hedda Gabler. Set in 1950s England, Tessa Thompson plays Hedda, a woman trapped by societal pressures in a loveless marriage. Interestingly, when she hosts an event to help her husband with this profession, her former lover shows up at the party. Nia DaCosta serves as the director of the movie.

Further, documentary movies such as Saquon and John Candy: I Like Me will be released on October 9 and 10, respectively.
