Indie darling dodie returns with “Got Weird” — a warped narrative filled with alt-indie repercussions and pop narratives.
“Got Weird” is one of those tracks that progress into a moment of just utter overwhelm. dodie never lets the vibes go, the flowy bass guitar, the drums and everything else carries you to the soft breaking point, but it never lets that soft layer of confusion and soft pop anger go.
At some point, it does get weird, but It’s beautiful.
