“Cigarette” is as smooth as its namesake and just as ironic – a track that calms your nerves, but at the same time brings up all those feelings. The coughing of heartbreak, the tension of romance, and the burning lungs of fights and apologies.
Not a track to shout its way into your mind, or overuse its narrative, “CIgarette” is a downplayed ballad of self-reflection, intimate repair, and lyricism that would have any short-form writer embarrassed. “Cigarette” is a gem and a heartbreaker altogether.
