Patriots QB Drake Maye’s Wife’s Cutting Skills in Viral TikTok Draw Concern

Ann Michael Maye, the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, has gone viral for her cooking videos on TikTok — but her knife skills have some fans concerned.

In a video posted on Thursday, January 15, Ann made egg naan bread, which she called “a super easy recipe to bring to a brunch or just to meal prep at the beginning of the week!”

Simple enough, but things got a little harrowing when Ann pulled out her knife to cut up a red bell pepper and a red onion to go on top of the bread. 

Ann’s chopping technique could be described as haphazard, at best, and dangerous, at worst, as she forcefully slammed the knife with both hands onto the cutting board.

In response, fans quickly filled up Ann’s comments with their alarm bells. 

“I love her but she scares me when she cuts stuff up,” one person wrote. 

Another said, “Please be careful chopping we need you both at 100% Sunday.”

Drake, 23, and the Patriots host the Houston Texans in the NFL Divisional Round on Sunday, January 18, with a spot in the AFC Championship Game on the line. 

“As a chef who adores that you do these cooking videos 😟 every time I see you cutting/ slicing 🔪🫣 ahhhhhh, control the blade luv,” another viewer commented. 

Safety concerns aside, Ann’s videos have become a place for Patriots fans to congregate to show their support for Drake and Ann, who her followers have nicknamed “The Queen of the North.”

“Make sure Drake wears warm boots on the way to the game on Sunday, looks like snow! We don’t want our beautiful boy to have cold feet ❤️,” the top comment on her latest video said. 

Another Patriots fan wrote, “Good morning, Mrs. Maye. I wish you a wonderful day and an enjoyable brunch. Please extend my warm regards to our husband and let him know that he is deeply missed and dearly loved by me. He is the reason I continue forward. Kind regards.”

Ann and Drake got married in June 2025. Since then, Ann has drawn comparisons to Gisele Bündchen, the ex wife of former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“It’s always ‘Gisele could never, Gisele would never,’” Ann told Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy in a video shared via social media on Monday, January 12. 

Ann added, “She’s pretty good, guys. It’s okay.”

The comments on Ann’s latest video are not lacking for references to Bündchen, 45, who finalized her divorce from Brady, 48, in October 2022. 

“Gisele never made egg naan bread for us,” one follower joked.

In addition to her blossoming career as a content creator, Ann has been a passionate Patriots supporter through the team’s run to the playoffs. 

“See you next week!!!!!❤️❤️❤️,” she posted via Instagram after New England defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL Wild Card Round on Sunday, January 11. 

The Patriots play the Houston Texans on Sunday, January 18 at 3 p.m. ET.
