Eclipse themed mural in Southern Indiana

The City Council and Mayor’s office of Vincennes, Indiana are announcing a national call for artist submissions for an eclipse themed mural on the side of City Hall. Vincennes and Knox County are in the centerline of totality during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. We will experience 4 minutes and 5 seconds of darkness and anticipate 50,000-100,000 eclipse visitors for that weekend. To commemorate this spectacular event and encourage future eclipse tourism, the City is asking for public works to be submitted. $2,500.00 commission. The mural will be printed and installed by a local printing company and will hang for approximately 1-2 year(s). All works must be original and not shown in the last two years. No application fee. The Plymouth Arts Center in Plymouth, WI announces a call to artists for Gallery 110 North’s 29th Annual Juried Exhibit, May 3 to August 2, 2024. $1000 in cash awards. 2024/25 Manifest Artist Residency Awards

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit applications for the Manifest Artist Residency program (MAR) and Scholar in Residence (SIR). We are located in the vibrant neighborhoods of East Walnut Hills and Clifton near the Ohio River, Eden Park, the Cincinnati Art Museum, numerous Universities, and within three miles of downtown. Awards consist of 24/7 use of a private studio, free programming at Manifest Drawing Center, teaching consideration, public exposure, free entry to Manifest calls for entry, potential inclusion in a final showcase exhibit and annual publication, as well as the presentation of a public artist talk. $50 application fee. The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, KS seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, April 5-26, 2024. Selected artists will have their work featured in the exhibition and online. Pentwater Public Arts: Sculpture Walk 2024/25

The Pentwater Arts Council in the Village of Pentwater, Michigan is conducting an open entry competition to select 5 outdoor sculptures for the Pentwater Sculpture Walk, June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025. Artists will receive a $3,000 honorarium for each sculpture selected for a 1 year lease. Plus award money for “Best of Show.” All works will be for sale with a possible Purchase Award. This is the final year of a 3 year project, 2 sculptures having been purchased each previous year. The goals of the project are to provide an outdoor art appreciation experience that will enlighten, stimulate, and educate and to help activate the downtown. The Butler Institute of American Art announces a call to artists for the 88th National Midyear Exhibition, June 23 – August 11, 2024 in Youngstown, Ohio. Solo show + cash prizes. Juror: Audrey Flack. Entrants must reside in the USA or one of its territories and must be 18 years of age or older.
