Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, MD and partners announce MESH, a nationally open, competitive, juried exhibit. The MESH Exhibit will be held from March 8 – April 21, 2024, and hosted in the Helen C. Frederick Gallery at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center. Awards include $1000 from Pyramid Atlantic Art Center for Best Overall Entry, $1000 from The Washington Print Club for Best Work on Paper, and $1000 from The Washington Print Foundation for Most Innovative Entry. MESH calls on artists to consider the history of screenprinting, its technical contexts, and its diverse applications. While not excluding traditional screenprinting, the exhibition also encourages all work that might creatively intersect — or mesh — with screenprinting. Quail Hollow Events announces a call to artists for the Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair, held May 25-27 at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz, NY. The Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland, Maryland seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, March 30 – April 20, 2024. $7500 in awards. Juror: Sarah Stolfa. Submitted images should originate as lens-based photographs created solely by the entrant. They may not incorporate images produced by anyone or anything else (for example, clip art, replacement skies, stock photos or AI-generated images). In addition, all entries must be for sale. No entries will be accepted which have been previously exhibited in the Allegany Arts Council galleries. Although there is no restriction on when entries were created, artists are encouraged to enter their latest work. Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, MD offers a 3-month paper arts residency, May 15 – August 17, 2024. Each applicant will be judged on the artistic merit of his/her work and interest and potential in paper arts. Each year professional or aspiring artists are selected to spend time at Lacawac Sanctuary in Lake Ariel, PA for one week. Artists are free to produce their artwork using the inspiration of the beauty that is Lacawac – 550-acres which includes a glacial lake, 2 ponds, shore access to Lake Wallenpaupack, ledges natural area, and forests. Housing and studio space is provided. There are no hard deadlines for applications. Artists provide their own transportation and take care of their meals. The Rehoboth Art League announces a call to artists for 2025 Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals. Open to members and non-members. This is a very competitive program as RAL can only accept a limited number of proposals each year. Artworks in any media will be reviewed. The RAL is situated in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a highly traveled area not only by the residents of this and the expanding surrounding communities, but also by art patrons from the Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York metropolitan areas. Over 29,000 people participate in Rehoboth Art League programs annually. Special exhibitions have played an important part of our programming since the league’s beginning, in1938.
