Arts Benicia, a non-profit art center in Benicia, CA, invites artists to submit artwork for Explorations in Monochromatic Art, a juried exhibition that seeks to showcase exceptional monochromatic artwork in a wide range of genres and mediums. The exhibit runs March 16 – April 28, 2024. Juror: Leah Rosenberg. By reducing a painting or artwork to a single essential hue or color, the viewer is invited to focus on issues such as shape, space, design, composition, tonality, and form. All 2D and 3D media accepted, and video files. 2D work may not exceed 36″ in width or 72″ in height, including the frame. 3D work may not exceed a 36″ x 36″ footprint. $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers, for one entry; $5 each add’l entry.
