The Cal Poly Pomona, University Art Gallery announces a call to artists for their annual “Ink & Clay” exhibition, August 26 – November 14, 2024 in Pomona, CA. $13,000 in prizes and purchase awards. Juror: Kim Abeles. Open to artists living or working in the U.S. Eligible entries include non-traditional media such as installations (both site-specific and not), freestanding and hanging sculptures, technology-involved media, kinetic or light-based works, mixed media, as well as the more traditional artforms such as printmaking, drawing and painting, sculpture and pottery. Artworks must be original and completed within the last 5 years (2019-2024). There are no size restrictions. This year, Ink & Clay explores the theme of “Art & Science” and how the twain may meet. The Studio Door in San Diego, CA seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, July 2 – Aug 3, 2024. 3 works will receive a Juror’s Award certificate and a check for $100. Juror: Michael Swank, Director of Exhibition and Residency at Art Gallery Studios (Mexico City, Mexico). Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book, and sculpture are eligible. Oversized jewelry that can be defined as fine art is also acceptable. Glass, stain glass, ceramics and stoneware are only accepted if hand-delivered.
