International Opportunities for Artists to Exhibit Abroad

The Hayama Artist Residency offers visual artists from around the world a unique opportunity to spend four weeks (June 1-30, 2026) in Hayama, Japan, for rest, reflection, and creative inspiration. Selected artists will receive roundtrip airfare, a private bedroom, and a $800 USD stipend to support meals and local transportation. We welcome applications from visual artists working in any medium and at any stage of their career. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. $95 USD application fee. Deadline: September 30, 2025. The Overall Winner of the “XXXVI MML” will be awarded a cash prize of €4000, a Trophy, a Diploma, a book portfolio and two invitations to the awards gala.
