Launched in 2020, this is a 4-week residency (June 1 – 30, 2024) in a small, coastal Japanese town in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The Hayama Artist Residency application is open to any visual artist over 21 years old, working in any medium – based anywhere in the world. The residency offers a roundtrip flight to Japan, shared accommodations with one other artist-in-residence, and a weekly allotment of $200 USD each for meals and local transportation. FiKVA seeks entries for a miniature art competition & exhibition, May 11 – August 25, 2024 at WG Gallery in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. Up to €2000 in awards. Jurors: Tanya Atanasova & Wilma Geerts. Works must be original, produced solely by the artist, and available for sale. Works must not have been exhibited previously at WG Gallery. All works must be professionally presented: framed and/or ready to hang. No glass or other fragile materials. Accepted mediums: paintings (oils & water-based oils, acrylic paints, watercolors, inks…), drawings (charcoal & pencils, dry and wet mediums…), press prints (etches, linocuts, lithographic prints…), mixed-media, airbrush, and collage.
