Meghan McCain called out her former co-hosts at The View after Sara Haines alluded to her during the “Hot Topics” segments.
The ABC morning talk show discussed Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene refusing to address Dr. Fauci by Doctor. Haines brought up the point that the villainization of Dr. Fauci had started on the show.
“It started, I remember, here, with someone here getting so mad about Dr. Fauci and it felt like it happened overnight,” Haines said on The View earlier this week.
One of the co-hosts asks, “Someone here?”
The clip of the show was shared on social media, and McCain happened to come across it and reshared it, adding, “This is hilarious.”
“Imagine still being shocked people didn’t want their kids masked, vaccinated with an untested vaccine or to have our families isolated in one state while other states were open for no other reason than politics. F**k Fauci,” McCain posted on X, the microblogging platform formerly known as Twitter. “These women will never quit me.”
McCain didn’t leave The View on the best of terms ,and has since opened up about her experience on the show alleging to a toxic work environment. She recently revealed she would never return to the talk show.
“There’s not a chance in hell,” McCain told Page Six of The View producers ever asking her to return, even as a guest.
The political commentator also acknowledged that she doesn’t want to do it either, adding, “I’ve had kids since then. I really like my life right now and I feel like it’s taken me a long time to sort of get to a place where people are seeing me as more serious.”
The former View co-host joined the show in 2017 and, during her tenure, shared the panel with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Abby Huntsman.
