Jennie Broke Her Own Record by Winning the Fourth RIAA Gold Certification

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has broken her own record by winning the most RIAA certifications. The artist has gotten a fourth gold plaque for her song ‘ExtraL’ featuring the Grammy-nominated rapper Doechii. This song is from her debut album, named ‘Ruby’. Recently, on 2^nd December, the Recording Industry Association of America announced that her song has sold a total of 500,000 units in the United States, which is massive. It has made a huge revenue within a brief time, and that is why Jennie has gotten the chance to achieve such recognition once again.

This achievement of Jennie is becoming even grander because in March 2025, she came up with three songs from the album ‘Ruby’. It was released through OA Entertainment and Columbia Records. And all the tracks have gotten RIAA certifications. It is a great milestone in the whole K-pop music industry that people have ever got to see. This event has generated a large sensation among all her fans.

Previously, it came to see that Jennie got gold certification for ‘Like Jennie’ and ‘Mantra’ in August, along with her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, named ‘One of the Girls’. This collaboration has led her to earn platinum status for crossing one million units. With every new song released, Jennie is reaching out to more new audiences and achieving more streams on different music streaming platforms.

It has been seen that the RIAA certifications are given to the artists based on the combined number of streaming and sales units. To achieve the gold certification, one has to surpass 500,000 units, which Jennie has done recently. And to get platinum, one has to go more than one million and for multi-platinum, it requires two million. With the song, ‘ExtraL’, Jennie has achieved eth gold certification, but it can be assumed that the way she is growing in her career, soon she will get platinum or even diamond certification.

Jennie departed from YG Entertainment in 2023, and since then, she has immersed herself in the making of ‘Ruby’. The move to get out of the label assisted her in preparing a 15-track full-length debut album. Along with this, she has collaborated with various artists like Diplo, El Guincho, and Mile Will Make It in her brief solo career.
