Everyone Is Jacked (Even Hedwig & Dobby) In Bizarre Harry Potter Art

January 12, 2024 - Movies

Summary

  • New AI art turns Harry Potter characters into super buff bodybuilders, with some surprisingly fitting results.
  • Character transformed include Hermione, Ron, and Harry, alongside some surprise transformations for Hegwig and Dobby.
  • The Harry Potter universe will continue through a TV series on HBO.

New Harry Potter art turns all the characters into super buff versions of themselves. Kicking off with 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the legendary film series had to craft the world of Hogwarts out of the thousands of pages from the hit novels. Now, the Harry Potter movies and its characters — including Hagrid, Voldemort, Harry, and more — are as iconic as the book series from which they originate.

Taking a different approach to these classic characters, new art from @manmeetsmachine reveals the main characters as bodybuilders. The art takes the form of a series of AI images that attach beefed up muscles to beloved Harry Potter characters. Characters featured include Harry, Hagrid, Draco, Snape, Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, Voldemort, and even Dobby and Hedwig.

Some of the Harry Potter characters fit in surprisingly well to their jacked-up frames. Hagrid’s already-massive body seems natural for that of a weight-lifting bodybuilder, as does Hermione’s slender yet strong figure. Dobby is a far more disturbing inclusion in the AI art, as he has a veiny skin texture that still attempts (falteringly) to be in the same style of his existing house-elf skin.

What Is Next In The Harry Potter Universe?

Following the eight main Harry Potter films, the series moved on to the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trilogy. While it has some merits, the Fantastic Beasts films dwindled in quality as they went on. This trend has left the future in doubt for Fantastic Beasts 4 and Fantastic Beasts 5, both of which were previously thought to be happening under the direction of David Yates.

Instead of Fantastic Beasts, the next media installment of Harry Potter will take the form of an HBO TV show. While the exact details of the show have yet to be confirmed, the series is thought to remake aspects of the books’ plot. The HBO Harry Potter show has yet to announce a cast or release date.

HBO’s Harry Potter will be an exciting chance to re-explore Hogwarts and introduce new versions of the characters in a different area. While the show will likely replicate much of the original films’ Hogwarts aesthetic, updated CGI will inevitably enhance the series to a visual level that could not have happened in 2001. And while it may not beef up the characters like this artist did, the Harry Potter recasting will give the leads a different feel to them.

Harry Potter Franchise Poster

Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a multimedia franchise about an orphaned boy who enrolls at Hogwarts School of Wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family, and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world. Adapted from the novels, Harry Potter is an eight-episode film saga that follows the journey of Harry Potter and his friends, Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley, as they navigate the tricky world of growing up, school life, and magic. Starting from year one and moving to their seventh year, the films chronicle the students’ time at Hogwarts while unfurling a sinister plot that centers around the unsuspecting Harry. With the return of the dark wizard, Voldemort, the students and professors at Hogwarts will fight to carry on as the world around them may change forever. Harry Potter has expanded beyond the world of its films and novels with several video games, a spin-off film series titled Fantastic Beasts, and even attractions at Universal Studios.
