Every month brings new games to the Xbox Game Pass service, with the regularly changing roster in Microsoft’s subscription offering plenty of titles for different types of players to enjoy. These can be titles from long-running franchises, indie gems, or titles from Microsoft’s first-party studios which are added at no extra cost upon their launch, making Game Pass one of the better deals in gaming.
These titles can be announced long in advance, which is often the case with the main “Waves“, which come at the start and the middle of each month. There are some exceptions, however, such as the late additions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which joined Game Pass suddenly in late April as part of the long-running deal with EA Play, and the roguelike Have A Nice Death, which joined the subscription on April 30.

Following its most recent massive showcase, Microsoft unveils a plethora of new titles that will be available on Xbox Game Pass on release.
In late April, Xbox Wire announced the arrival of four titles for May 2024’s first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles, from the first in Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, the first-person detective mystery title, Kona II: Brume, and Starbreeze Studio’s award-winning puzzler, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. In this first wave, Little Kitty, Big City, an adventure title in which players assume the role of a cat lost in the city, making friends with stray animals and leaving a fair amount of chaos in their wake as they try to get back home also launched as a day-one title.
There are several other titles that had previously been confirmed to be joining Xbox Game Pass in May but weren’t included in the Wave 1 announcement. These include Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to Ninja Theory’s 2017 psychological horror game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and the acclaimed puzzler platformer Humanity, which will be coming to Xbox and the Microsoft Store on PC after launching as a PlayStation and Steam exclusive in 2023.
All of these were included in Xbox Wire‘s second wave announcement on May 14, however. Accompanying these were the 2023 Soulslike action RPG, Lords of the Fallen, which served as both a sequel to the 2014 title of the same name and a soft reboot of the series, the magic-FPS Immortals of Aveum, which was also one of PlayStation Plus’ monthly titles last month, and the puzzle-based titles Moving Out 2 and Chants of Sennaar. The sci-fi hospital management game, Galacticare, and the twin-stick shooter Hauntii will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass upon their launch on May 23, and EA Sports NHL 24 will also be available with Xbox Cloud Gaming via EA Play.
The second wave announcement also revealed two games for June 4,
