Alex Amor – Bad Tattoo (Ft. The Deep Blue) :: Indie Shuffle
July 15, 2022 - MusicOccasionally a song is good enough that on first listen I decide it has to be blogged. Alex Amor and The Deep Blue have pulled off such a feat on their new single “Bad Tattoo.”
The lyrics focus on Alex’s attempt to get a soured relationship out of her mind, making the whole “bad tattoo” reference a pretty easy to understand analogy. And while the subject matter is a bit of a downer, I somehow find the indie rock/indie pop sensibilities of the song offer up an upbeat and enjoyable listen. Perhaps it’s that contrast that really pulled me in.
The song will appear on Alex’s upcoming EP The Art Of Letting Go, and features indie folk outfit The Deep Blue on backing vocals.
