It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged on Indie Shuffle. Which also, by proxy, means it’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged something that sounds like Tame Impala.
Enter Munan, who happens to be an Aussie as well. His latest single “Your Life” gets off to a really groovy psych rock vibe that I think many will agree has hints of Tame Impala (and more recently, Kainalu).
The song had me hooked from the get-go, though I’ll confess I wasn’t expecting it to go full on Empire Of The Sun for the chorus. Because that’s what it does. And in doing so it manages to nail the overall vibe.
Safe? Possible. Catchy? Yeah, I’d say. Satisfactory to psych rock fans? I’m pretty sure.
